Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life, by Anne Lamott (1994) - A funny, poignant read on how and why we write.
On Writing, by Stephen King (1999) - A master storyteller recounts his life as a writer, and lists a few fundamentals of craft.
The Creative Writing Coursebook, ed. Julia Bell and Paul Magrs (2001) - A book of practical exercises to tune up your ears and eyes.
Into The Woods, by John Yorke (2013) - On the power of story structure, from fairytale to soap opera.
